Moss Agate Cabochon

Here is a large cabochon with a lot of clarity and a very loose moss structure within.

Highly polished shallow dome with a polished back that is shallower, but domed as well.

This stone is a bit of a foggy white with wonderfully clear moss and a brown blossoming flower in the center bottom.

The curvature of the bottom of this stone is about the size of a quarter.

The picture is taken outside in natural light.

These cabs are cut with the intention of wire wrapping them. They will have a square edge of at least 1/32" to hold the wire. This applies to whether they are polished on one side or both sides. To borrow a term from our faceting friends, this edge will be referred to as the 'girdle'
