Lapis Lauli is a relatively rare semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense blue color.

It has been mined in Afghanistan for over 6000 years, and trade in the stone goes all the way back to ancient Egypt.

This stone shows the very distinctive flecks of iron pyrite or 'fools gold' and no white calcite veins making it a very authentic and prized piece.
